What you get
The pressure is chosen for the surface, not the stain.
Hard stone takes a lot. Soft York stone, lime mortar and render take very little, and once the face is blown off a slab there is no putting it back. We test a corner, settle on the lowest pressure that actually works, and use a flat surface cleaner rather than a lance where the surface is delicate.

Why patios go green in the first place.
Algae needs damp and shade, which is most of a London garden between October and April. Once it takes hold it holds water against the stone, and in a hard frost that is what lifts the surface.
It is a safety job as much as a looks job
Algae on a wet step is genuinely slippery. Front steps and basement stairs are the ones worth keeping on top of.
Joints matter
Blasting sand out of block paving joints is how paving starts to move. Where joints need re-sanding afterwards we will tell you.
Once a year is usually enough
A yearly wash keeps on top of it. Leaving it three years means a much harder clean on a surface that has had three winters of damage.
